Days after Donald Trump imposed severe sanctions on Russia’s two biggest oil companies, Vladimir Putin’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation landed in the United States. Kirill Dmitriev is reportedly set to meet Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and other senior officials to hold discussions on US-Russia dialogues. Putin had slammed the sanctions, calling it as an “unfriendly act towards Russia”.
