Topgolf has become one of those places you suggest “for one quick game” and end up staying for hours. In Dubai, Las Vegas and London, it’s a go-to for everything from team nights out to birthday blowouts, backed by big screens, bigger playlists and a steady stream of bites to your bay. Now, Abu Dhabi is getting in on the action, with Topgolf Yas Island officially in the works.
Developed by Miral in partnership with Viya, the authorised franchise partner of Topgolf in the UAE, the new outpost is already under construction. Miral says the project has reached 28 per cent completion, with development targeted for completion in 2026, which means Yas Island’s line-up of attractions is about to get even more competitive.
This is not a simple driving range. Topgolf Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, will span approximately 6,500 square metres of gross floor area, alongside a 19,000-square-metre outfield driving range fitted with TopTracer technology for ball tracking during gameplay. There will be 82 hitting bays in total, including eight VIP bays, designed to work for everyone from first-timers to confident swingers.
Inside, the venue is set to unfold across three levels. The ground floor will feature a VR hitting bay, direct access to the tee line for practice and training, lounge spaces, an event lawn, and a dedicated Pro Shop for golf essentials. Upstairs, expect dining venues including a sports lounge and sky lounge with outdoor terraces, plus an arcade zone and a flexible event space that can shift from casual hangouts to full-scale celebrations.
It also marks Topgolf’s second UAE venue after Dubai, where Viya says the original location has welcomed more than 2.7 million guests and delivered over 85 million swings since opening. On Yas Island, it joins a heavyweight roster that already includes Ferrari World, SeaWorld, Warner Bros. World, and Yas Waterworld, cementing the area’s status as Abu Dhabi’s unofficial playground.
Beyond the UAE, Topgolf’s Middle East ambitions are growing too. A 2024 agreement tied to Golf Saudi included plans for three Topgolf venues across Saudi Arabia, signalling that this brand’s regional expansion is only picking up speed.
