The Neighbourhood Marks a Decade of ‘Wiped Out!’ With Re-Release

The Neighbourhood is revisiting one of its most defining eras. The multi-platinum California alternative rock band has officially released Wiped Out! (10th Anniversary Edition) — a reissue of their breakthrough 2015 sophomore album that solidified the group’s dark, cinematic alt-rock identity.

Following their surprise reunion announcement, the band is celebrating Wiped Out!’s milestone with a refreshed version of the record, featuring 10 additional tracks that include rare demos and remixes of fan-favorite songs such as the Syd remix of “Daddy Issues.” Available digitally and on vinyl, the expanded edition offers a deeper glimpse into the hazy, sun-drenched melancholy that made Wiped Out! a cult favorite among alt-rock and Tumblr-era audiences.

Critically lauded at the time of its release, Wiped Out! was praised for its atmospheric sound and emotional pull — with EUPHORIA calling it “fantastic,” Hypebeast describing it as “music with a chill vibe and beautiful melodies,” and CLASH noting, “They’ve stepped up their game and created a whole new sound that feels like a new vitalized horizon for the band.”

To mark the occasion, The Neighbourhood launched a Wiped Out! 10th Anniversary pop-up store in East Hollywood, open starting today. The temporary shop will offer exclusive anniversary merchandise and a limited run of 1,000 colored, numbered vinyl copies available only in person and at shop.thenbhd.com. A standard black vinyl version of the same 22-track collection is now available for global pre-order, ahead of its worldwide release on January 30 through Legacy Recordings (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) and Columbia Records.

The Neighbourhood’s legacy continues to loom large in alternative music. Since debuting with the double-platinum I Love You., the band has produced an impressive catalog including Wiped Out! and The Neighbourhood (Hard To Imagine The Neighbourhood Ever Changing). Their hits “Sweater Weather” and “Daddy Issues” remain cultural staples, certified 16x and 5x Platinum respectively. Across their discography, the group has earned six Platinum and eight Gold singles, cementing their reputation as one of the genre’s most influential acts of the past decade.
