Some Dubai residents have received a new public safety weather alert this evening around 7pm
Dubai Police are urging the public to exercise caution as unsettled weather is expected to continue until Friday midday.
Following a public weather safety alert sent at 8.30am this morning Wednesday, December 18, and the first rainfall recorded at around 1pm, Dubai Police issued another warning at approximately 7pm tonight.
In the text, Dubai Police said: “For your safety, please remain cautious as unstable weather conditions are expected in the coming hours, and avoid going out unless it is absolutely necessary until midday on Friday, December 19.”
The advisory comes as parts of the UAE continue to experience rainfall and shifting weather conditions, with authorities reiterating the importance of staying alert and prioritising safety.
Residents are advised to limit travel where possible, drive with caution, and stay updated through official channels for any further announcements or changes to weather conditions.

Is Dubai in for a cold front?
From Friday, December 18, a cold spell (possibly lasting longer than a week) is set to move into Dubai, kicking off with heavy rain. Temperatures are expected to dip significantly, with the lowest low forecast for Tuesday, December 23, when the mercury could drop to 10°C.
That’s seriously chilly (and not even talking Dubai standards) so yes, it might finally be time to dig out the jumpers.
