Raleigh drivers headed out on Sunday morning should know about road closures from the City of Oaks Marathon.
Several main roads inside I-440 will be closed for the race, including a long stretch of Hillsborough Street and parts of Morgan Street, Glenwood Avenue and Western Boulevard.
Most of Hillsborough Street will be closed from the State Capitol building to the I-440 North on-ramp.
The race begins at 7 a.m. at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and North Street. Glenwood Avenue will shut down from Peace Street to Hillsborough Street at 3 a.m. and reopen at 1 p.m.
Most closures will last until 9:45 a.m. The 26.2-mile course takes runners through several parts of the city, including downtown, Glenwood South, NC State University, Boylan Heights and Crabtree Valley areas.
A complete list of closures can be viewed here.
