The goals finally come
Despite the madridista superiority, Twente went ahead soon into the second half through Ravensbergen. Weir could have levelled on 53’ but her sweetly struck free-kick was repelled by the goalkeeper again. Twente were keen to find another goal, and Misa had to be alert just after the hour-mark, her diving stop keeping out Roord’s free-kick. Our team refused to give up in their search for a goal, and they finally got their reward in the closing minutes. Däbritz fired off a left-footed drive from inside the area which left Lemey with no chance to make it 1-1.
