Substitute Michael Olise scored once and grabbed a hat-trick of assists in a stunning second-half cameo as Bayern Munich fought back to beat RB Leipzig and maintain their unbeaten Bundesliga record.
Fourth-placed Leipzig led the league leaders 1-0 at half-time courtesy of a 20th-minute strike from Romulo Cruz.
But Serge Gnabry equalised for Bayern five minutes after the break, before Olise’s 56th-minute introduction helped the visitors power to victory.
The France winger assisted Harry Kane, Jonathan Tah and Aleksandar Pavlovic before curling home Bayern’s fifth goal two minutes from time.
Manager Vincent Kompany named Olise on the bench for the match at Red Bull Arena as Bayern geared up for the first of three games in six days.
Antonio Nusa should have put Leipzig ahead after seven minutes but he fluffed his lines from close range after some clever trickery from Yan Diomande.
Leipzig eventually got the goal their dominance deserved as Cruz shrugged off Tah to finish an inviting cross from full-back David Raum.
But despite registering nine shots and accumulating an xG of 2.03 in the first half, the hosts were unable to extend their advantage.
That opened the door for Gnabry to equalise in the 50th minute, before Olise assisted Kane for his 32nd goal of the season 17 minutes later.
The former Crystal Palace winger added two more assists in his stunning 34-minute cameo when Tah and Pavlovic dispatched his crosses in the 83rd and 85th minutes.
Olise then crowned a spectacular individual display with a curling effort past Peter Gulacsi to send Bayern 11 points of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.
