A new WWE World Heavyweight Champion was crowned at the conclusion of “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” CM Punk and Jey Uso battled for the vacant gold inside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Ultimately, it was Punk who became a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The title had been vacated after previous champion Seth Rollins suffered an injury during a singles match with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at “Crown Jewel.” Rollins was written off WWE TV when he was betrayed by The Vision faction before being stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk’s Redemption
Punk’s first reign with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship only lasted a few minutes. He defeated Gunther in the main event of “WWE SummerSlam 2025” to capture the gold. It didn’t take long for Rollins to successfully cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to take the title away from Punk.
Now, Punk can reign as “Monday Night Raw’s” top male titleholder for far longer. He figures to be in for some big challenges, and he’s now an even bigger target for The Vision. Bron Breakker has made it clear that he intends to go after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Setback for Jey Uso
Uso was under a lot of pressure from his legendary professional wrestling family going into “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” Roman Reigns urged Uso to bend the rules regardless of how anyone feels, while Jimmy believes that people are trying to manipulate his brother.
Ultimately, Uso failed to become a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Fans won’t have to wait long to find out how Uso will respond to his latest setback when WWE returns to the Rio Rancho Events Center for “Monday Night Raw.”
