Missouri graduate quarterback Beau Pribula plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after one year with the Tigers, On3’s Pete Nakos has confirmed. The news was first reported by PowerMizzou.com.
Pribula transferred into Columbia last offseason after three years at Penn State, where he served as a backup to Drew Allar. He beat out redshirt junior Sam Horn for the starting job and played in 10 games for the Tigers.
The 6-foot-2, 212-pounder completed 182 of his 270 passes (67%) during the regular season, throwing for 1,941 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Pribula also ran for 297 yards and six touchdowns on 95 carries.
He missed multiple games due to an ankle injury suffered against Vanderbilt though, and he struggled to find his footing in SEC play. Across six conference games, he completed just 57% of his passes while throwing only three touchdowns against seven interceptions.
Pribula will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
Another Tigers’ starter headed to the portal
His departure is the latest in a string of moves by 2025 starters to look for new homes. Junior wideout Josh Manning, who hauled in 29 passes for 318 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season, announced his intentions on Monday in a bit of a surprise move. The Lee’s Summit (Mo.) native looked primed for another step forward as a senior but will now look to do that in a new home.
And on Wednesday, third-year wideout Marquis Johnson made his plans to known to enter free agency. A multi-year contributor, Johnson caught 66 passes for 1,075 yards and six touchdowns during his time in Columbia.
This year, Missouri’s air attack ranked among the worst in the SEC despite having Manning, Johnson, 2024 All-SEC wideout Kevin Coleman and standout true freshman Donovan Olugbode.
Two of the Tigers’ reserve running backs — Marquise Davis and Brendan Haygood — also announced their intentions. Eli Drinkwitz and Co. are also trying to hold onto co-starter Jamal Roberts, with Drinkwitz making a plea to fans and donors to help raise enough money to convince him not to transfer. He is still yet to announce whether he is entering the portal or not.
