Doha, Qatar: The Minister of State for International Cooperation, HE Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, met on Thursday with Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization, HE Arguj Kalantarli, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the ongoing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the International Civil Defence Organization, ways to enhance it, and the development of rapid response mechanisms for natural disasters and humanitarian crises worldwide.
HE Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to continuing its humanitarian and relief role on the international stage, prioritising humanitarian situations, and emphasising the importance of partnerships with specialised international organisations to ensure civilian protection and mitigate the impact of natural disasters.
