The Meteorological Department has forecast mild weather during the day and cooler to cold conditions at night across Kuwait this weekend.
Acting Director of the department, Dharar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country is under the influence of an extension of a surface high-pressure system, accompanied by a moderate and humid air mass with light to moderate northwesterly winds.
“These conditions may lead to the formation of light fog in the evening in some areas and scattered clouds during the day,” he said.
Al-Ali noted that Friday will see mild and partly cloudy conditions, with a chance of light evening fog. Expected maximum temperatures will range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius, while night temperatures will drop to a cool 9 to 11 degrees Celsius.
For Saturday, the weather is expected to remain mild, with a chance of evening fog and some scattered clouds. Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 20 to 22 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures ranging from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department urged residents to take standard precautions during periods of fog, particularly while driving.
