The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has announced substantial progress across four major housing developments currently in the implementation phase: Wadi Al Amardi, Al Awir, Hatta, and Al Yalayis 5. Collectively, these schemes are set to deliver 1,749 residences, representing a total investment value exceeding AED3.3 billion ($899 million)
These projects are integral to a comprehensive housing initiative approved in January 2025 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. That broader program encompasses 3,004 homes valued at AED5.4 billion, underscoring the leadership’s strategic vision to bolster residential stability and significantly improve the quality of life for Emirati citizens.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Shehhi, Acting CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, affirmed that MBRHE is executing these developments precisely in accordance with leadership directives. The goal remains to fortify residential stability and actively support Dubai’s extensive social and economic objectives.
“MBRHE places the completion of new housing projects at the forefront of its priorities, with a focus on creating integrated residential communities that fulfil citizens’ needs while providing comfort, safety, and well-being. This embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai the best city in the world to live in — a city built on prosperity and human-centred development,” Al Shehhi stated.
Wadi Al Amardi
This development includes 432 homes spread across 3.669 million square feet, involving a total investment of AED767 million. Completion is currently scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. The project further boasts modern architectural designs meticulously planned to promote family stability and well-being, ensuring a premium quality living environment.
Al Awir
Also, the Al Awir development encompasses 398 homes covering 3.217 million square feet, at an estimated total cost of AED734 million. Expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026, this project will feature advanced foundational infrastructure and comprehensive community amenities specifically designed for the unique needs of Emirati families.
Hatta
Additionally, the Hatta project stands out as one of MBRHE’s most pivotal initiatives, delivering a total of 213 homes spanning 2.654 million square feet with an investment of AED508 million. Completion is slated for the fourth quarter of 2026. This initiative plays a direct role in Hatta’s holistic development, offering contemporary residences that meet resident aspirations and accelerate the town’s transformation into a vibrant urban and tourism hub that strategically blends heritage with progress.
Al Yalayis 5
Moreover, the Al Yalayis 5 project is the largest component of the current four developments, featuring 706 homes across approximately 7 million square feet, with a significant total cost of AED1.31 billion. Anticipated to be finished in the fourth quarter of 2028, this project is poised to become a definitive benchmark for sustainable, fully serviced residential communities, tailored specifically to address Dubai’s future housing requirements.
Al Shehhi concluded by emphasizing that these developments demonstrate the Government of Dubai’s unwavering resolve to guarantee a modern and sustainable housing framework that empowers citizens to lead stable and dignified lives. These achievements directly reflect the leadership’s crucial role in reinforcing family stability and enhancing the comprehensive quality of life for Emirati citizens.
