NEWPORT NEWS — A shooting left a man dead Tuesday night in the Denbigh area, police said.
Around 9:54 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in the 14000 block of Warwick Boulevard, according to a release. That’s near Tabbs Lane and Campbell Road.
When officers arrived, they found 31-year-old Dewand Lamont McGowan, of Newport News, with a gunshot wound, police said. He died at the scene.
No other information has been released and police said an investigation is ongoing.
