Minister of Planning, Mohamed Al-Zidani, represented the country at the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Planning Institute, held in Kuwait.
During the meeting, Al-Zidani highlighted the key activities of Libya’s Ministry of Planning and its role in supporting the implementation of the Board’s recommendations in line with the adopted strategy. He reaffirmed Libya’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (2030).
The minister emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab developmental coordination and cooperation amid regional and international challenges, noting that sharing expertise, experiences, and knowledge through effective Arab development partnerships is a key mechanism to mitigate risks facing developmental transitions in the Arab region.
The meeting also reviewed the final report of the 2024–2025 annual plan, marking the conclusion of the institute’s ninth strategy (2020–2025), and discussed the main outcomes and achievements during its implementation.
