Another challenge came in 2023 as the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes affected filming.

Kurt Fuller, who plays Woody in Psych, revealed that there were also some financial difficulties regarding the fourth movie (via Screen Rant). Despite the setbacks, the cast of Psych is still hopeful that there will be another film, especially because the script has already been written. As of this article’s writing, there haven’t been any updates about Psych 4 or when it will be released, but there’s still hope that the movie will go forward, given the interest that audiences have in seeing Gus and Shawn take over the big screen once again.
