Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning, vowing to wipe out Hamas pockets still operating in Rafah and Khan Younis. In his weekly cabinet address, Netanyahu accused Hamas of trying to “deceive Israel, the U.S., and the world,” calling their tactics “pathetic.” He stressed Israel’s independence in decision-making, asserting, “We report to our American friends, but we do not seek their permission.” Netanyahu reaffirmed that all hostages would be brought home and Gaza would be fully demilitarised. He also warned Hezbollah and the Houthis against testing Israel’s patience, saying Israel “will act as necessary.”
