Over the years, Epic Games has introduced everything from cars, concerts, superheroes and even entire new worlds to Fortnite, but now it’s bringing an exciting new kind of partner that’ll actually be by your side the whole time. Recently, the developers introduced Sidekicks to Fortnite, which are basically customizable, adorable pets that can tag along with you in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Save the World, Fortnite Festival and various other game modes.
Sidekicks in Fortnite will “react to the world around you,” although they won’t be able to fight enemies alongside you or have any special abilities of their own. Here’s all that you need to know about Fortnite Sidekicks, including when they’ll be available in-game, prices and more.
What Are Fortnite Sidekicks and When Will They Release?
In a nutshell, Fortnite Sidekicks are cuddly little companions and an exciting new kind of cosmetic items that can be either earned or purchased. They can be customized, named, and brought along across all game modes. While Fortnite Sidekicks are immune to damage, they’ll still react to what’s going on around you, showing emotions like happiness, anger, or grief. You can also define their permanent physical traits to shape how they’ll look moving forward.
Beyond that, you can rename your Sidekick or change their accessories at any moment, as well as unlock new cosmetics such as hats and hoodies by earning Sidekick Points as you spend time with them. Sidekicks in Fortnite will be invisible to other players (which is a bummer to say the least), and certain aspects of their design can’t be changed. For example, if you make your Sidekick’s fur yellow, you won’t be able to change it back later. The only way to start over is to buy the Fortnite Sidekick again, which means you’ll need to shell out more money.
Per the official blog post, Fortnite Sidekicks are rolling out on November 1, 2025, starting with “Peels,” the first companion in the Fortnite x The Simpsons Battle Pass. Epic Games will follow this up with five more Sidekicks launching in the Fortnite Item Shop on November 7.
Full List of Fortnite Sidekicks and Their Prices
Fortnite’s first wave of seven Sidekicks won’t be dropping all at once, and Epic is spacing their release across the November Simpsons Fortnite mini-season. Meanwhile, anyone who already owns the Bonsey Back Bling will get the Bonsey Sidekick automatically, free of charge. Here are all Fortnite Sidekicks that will be available at launch and how much each one will cost:
- Peels – Will be available on November 1 as part of The Simpsons Fortnite Battle Pass. Price: 1,000 V-Bucks
- Lil’ Raptor – Will be available on November 7 in the Item Shop. Price: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Spike – Will be available on November 7 in the Item Shop. Price: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Flopsticks – Will be available on November 7 in the Item Shop. Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
- Cuddle Team Jr. – Will be available on November 7 in the Item Shop. Price: 1,500 V-Bucks

- Doggo Jr. – Will be available on November 7 in the Item Shop. Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
You can expect Fortnite to expand its roster of Sidekicks beyond these as the season moves forward. Despite the sky-high price tag, the cosmetic item is clearly designed to keep players coming back and spending more, because really, who doesn’t want their own virtual pets by their side in-game?
