19:19 CET – Half-time in Catalonia, where Barcelona have been pegged back to 2-1 by Elche as the players head down the tunnel. Rafa Mir halved the deficit to give the second half some intrigue.

19:10 CET – Our four 17:00 CET Ligue 1 games have all come to a close, and it’s been a great evening for Lens. They have beaten Lorient 3-0 at home to move into third in the league.
Meanwhile, Metz have won back-to-back matches after seven winless games in the league, after a 2-0 victory against Nantes, both of their efforts coming after the 80th minute.
Elsewhere, Toulouse and Le Havre finished goalless, whilst Lille earned a narrow 1-0 triumph against Angers.

18:52 CET – Manchester City – in control. They have made it 3-1 against Bournemouth as left-back Nico O’Reilly gets on the scoresheet after a precise finish into the bottom corner.
Rayan Cherki has put in another fine display for City today – he has now produced five performances with two or more assists in the same game, the most of any player for a side in Europe’s top five leagues.

Meanwhile, over in Serie A, we have reached half-time in the game between Parma and Bologna. It’s 1-1 at the break, but you could argue it is advantage Bologna, who have a man advantage after the sending off of Christian Ordonez.

Over in Scotland, Celtic have beaten bitter rivals Rangers 3-1 in the League Cup semi-finals, with Martin O’Neill winning his second match in charge of the Bhoys. Celtic will play St. Mirren in the final.
17:31 CET – The action is underway at the Etihad Stadium between Manchester City and Bournemouth.
A win would see Pep Guardiola’s side jump up into second place in the Premier League from eighth. The Cherries, meanwhile, are currently second and hoping to stay there.

17:01 CET – West Ham have defeated Newcastle 3-1 to notch their first win in seven matches, and the first under Nuno Espirito Santo.
It is a much-needed victory for the Hammers, who incidentally leapfrog Nuno’s former club, Nottingham Forest, in the Premier League standings with those three points.

In Serie A, Fiorentina have lost again, this time 1-0 at home against Lecce to extend their dreadful and winless start to the campaign; elsewhere, Torino and Pisa have drawn 2-2.
