Flooding closes MSU building

Flooding closed Centennial Hall at Midwestern State University Wednesday.
University spokesperson Julie Gaynor said a roof drain failed overnight Tuesday during heavy rain and led to flooding in the building.
Gaynor said she had not heard the extent of damage early Wednesday afternoon or how long the facility would be closed, but she expected to know more later in the day.
Flooding forced the closing of Centennial Hall at Midwestern State University Wednesday.
Centennial Hall is one of the newer buildings on campus.
The 87,000-square-foot health sciences facility opened in 2019, according to the MSU Texas website.
The $34 million facility was built to house the academic programs of the Robert D. & Carol Gunn College of Health Sciences and Human Services, the website said.
