Congratulations are in order for Aussie designer Effie Kats and her husband James Cerolini as they welcome their first child.
The designer, full name Effie Katsaounis, shared the news with a series of pictures and videos from the first few days of bliss after the birth of her daughter.
The 35-year-old began the caption of the post by sharing her daughter’s name and birth date, “Roza (Ρόζα) Cerolini ❤️ 20.01.26”

“The proudest moment of my life was bringing you into the world. Even though it didn’t happen the way we imagined, you are everything we could have hoped for and so much more,” Kats wrote.
The new mum then shared the special way she decided on her baby girl’s name, adding that she was named after “one of the most prolific Greek songs of all time.
“Earlier this year, James and I were in our villa in Bali when he played this song. I recognised it immediately and its lyrics about strength and resilience; a tribute to someone who stands out, someone real, strong, and unforgettable.. but I never knew the name of it.

“I called out to James and said what is the name of this song and he answered, ‘Roza’. I knew in that moment this was your name and it was always your song.”

Kats is known for founding her eponymous brand, as well as co-founding Bayse brand. Based in Melbourne, she has dressed many high-profile Aussies, such as Nadia Bartel, Carrie Bickmore, Kelly Rowland and Judd.
Kats and Cerolinigot engaged in 2021 during COVID lockdown, and wed in November 2023 in a ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral, with their reception being held at the famous State Library of Victoria.
They shared the news of their pregnancy in August 2025, though Kats went through some pregnancy-related medical complications in October.
