Days after Nick Reiner was charged with the murders of his parents, eerie footage has resurfaced of him bragging about needing to be bailed out of jail.
As the world attempts to make sense of the brutal slayings of famed director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, internet sleuths have dug up old footage of Nick rapping about life of crime. In a video that was posted to his YouTube account in 2016, Nick goes by the fictitious guise of “Dddavid,” a music mogul being interviewed for the in a satirical video.

At around the 00:31 mark, Nick spits a few rap bars that are enough to send chills down anyone’s spine considering his murder charges:
“And I don’t even care if anyone calls me a Sally / Because I’m a snail and I’m never gonna f**king fail / And you know what? / You’re going to have to bail me outta jail”
Yeesh. Who would have known that nine years later he WOULD be thrown behind bars for something as grisly as the alleged murder of his own parents?
Elsewhere in the mockumentary-style video, which appears reminiscent of Rob’s 1984 film This Is Spinal Tap, Nick struts around the Reiner family home and surrounding neighborhood chatting with neighbors, and stopping to smoke with his little sister Romy.
At other points in the video, he smokes a substance he describes as marijuana and discusses cocaine and heroin. Watch the full thing (below):
In the past, Nick has been open about his struggle with drug addiction, which he’s gone to rehab 17 times for and has even experienced homelessness because of.
In the wake of the old footage catching wind on social media, a family source told People the now-32-year-old “was always creative but misguided.” They added:
“He grew up around Hollywood A-listers and their lifestyles and it didn’t seem to occur to him that any of that could be taken from him. The hardest thing for Nick was following through on his ideas and doing the work he didn’t find exciting.”
If convicted of the two counts of first degree murder he’s been charged with, Nick could face life in prison or even the death penalty.
