Educational Nonprofit Receives $475,000 State Grant for Jersey City Program

Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE), a Yonkers-based educational nonprofit with a satellite branch in Jersey City, has received a $475,000-per-year grant from the New Jersey Department of Education, the organization announced Tuesday.

YPIE Jersey City, which has been operating since 2023, provides after-school tutoring and mentoring, career exploration programming, and college readiness guidance to Jersey City Public Schools students who apply and are accepted into its programs. The organization also provides continuing support to YPIE Jersey City graduates after they enroll in college.
