Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley exited his team’s Week 8 game against the New York Giants with an apparent injury.
Barkley appeared to pull up lame after handling a carry at the end of the third quarter. He headed to the blue medical tent to be examined by Eagles trainers and wasn’t on the field to start the fourth quarter.
The Eagles did not immediately provide an update on Barkley’s status. Tank Bigsby replaced him in Philadelphia’s lineup to start the fourth quarter.
Barkley was enjoying one of his best games of the season before exiting. He handled 14 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown while adding 24 yards and another score on four catches.
