Traffic camera footage shows several cars piled up chaotically along the freeway, struggling to navigate the icy roadway.
DALLAS — Cars are quickly piling up along eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Saturday night as drivers are struggling to navigate the icy roadway.
The incident began shortly after the Dallas Mavericks game ended, as spectators left to return home. Video from near Klyde Warren Park showed cars messily scattered across the freeway, many stopped with their hazard lights on as other cars attempt to weave in between them.
Some cars actually turned around to go the opposite way down the roadway to afford the traffic mess. One semi-truck appears to have crashed into a guardrail, blocking two lanes of the freeway.
WFAA has reached out to the Texas Department of Transportation for more information.
