Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid was fined $50,000 by the NBA on Sunday for his actions during an Oct. 31 loss to the Boston Celtics. Embiid was fined for “making a lewd gesture on the playing court,” per a league statement.
The gesture occurred with 7:08 left in the first quarter. After being fouled during a shot, Embiid appeared to do a crotch chop after the ball fell through the net.

Embiid dropped 20 points in the contest, a 109-108 loss for the 76ers.
