New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas is glad that the fans are getting more excited about the team.
It hasn’t been the easiest road for the franchise. They are coming off three consecutive losing seasons, and they went 4-13 in the previous two seasons. Before this year, Douglas had only experienced the lows as a member of the Patriots.
But things have clearly changed with the arrival of Mike Vrabel.
The team is currently on a five-game winning streak and positioned as the No. 1-ranked team in the AFC East division with a 6-2 record. They even managed to knock off the Josh Allen-led Bills in Buffalo in Week 5. Things are good right now for Patriots players and fans.
“It feels good getting that dub. Especially at home and seeing the fans lit. I love seeing that. I haven’t seen that for two years. They probably drunk right now,” Douglas said after the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Cleveland Browns.
There is certainly a lot of excitement for a Patriots team that hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2021 season. They are on the verge of changing that in a major way in their first year with Vrabel at the helm.
