One of Europe’s most popular low-cost airlines has suspended further flights to and from Dubai.
Transavia has confirmed it has cancelled all flights heading to and from Dubai International Airport until Thursday February 12.
The Dutch budget airline operates as a subsidiary of major international airline KLM and is part of the Air France-KLM Group.
In a statement, the low-cost airline stated that the current geopolitical situation led to the cancellation of the key Dubai route over the Gulf region.
Announcing the cancellations due to precautions with the flight routes to the UAE, the airline initially stated that it was currently monitoring the situation, and hoped to resume flights on Wednesday February 11.
However, this has now been extended up to and including Thursday February 12.
The airline currently has its main hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and operates other hubs in other Dutch cities alongside three bases in France.
Passengers with flights booked to Dubai have been advised that they will be contacted by SMS and email if their service has been cancelled.
In an update on Tuesday February 10, Transavia stated the “safety of our passengers and crew is always our top priority.”

DXB flight cancellations in 2026
The Transavia announcement follows several precautionary flight cancellations to the region by major European airlines.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, based out of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, cancelled all flights to Dubai International Airport on Tuesday January 27 and Wednesday January 28.
Air France had briefly suspended its service to DXB but resumed operations on Saturday January 24.
And Emirates had also recently cancelled flights to several US destinations as Storm Fern affected travel to New York, Washington DC, Boston, Dallas and Newark.
Those affected by Transavia’s ongoing cancellations are able to choose to get a refund on their ticket or rebook the flight for another date in the future.
Passengers can also switch their flight to another destination for free, as long as the flight is within 14 days of their original flight date.
Although only suspended at present until Thursday February 12, passengers booked to fly to Dubai with Transavia up until Saturday February 25 can also rebook their flights free of charge.
