Complimentary heritage programs
According to Dr Manny Bounaama, Director of the Sharjah Heritage Institute’s Content and Publishing Department, the Cultural Café is being offered this year through two complimentary programs. The first, Guide Me to the Market, examines the development of trade and its intimate ties to the region’s cultural heritage while discussing the history of traditional marketplaces throughout the Arab world.
Dr Bounaama told “Sharjah 24” that the second programme consists of a number of discussion sessions covering a variety of subjects pertaining to Emirati, Arab, and global cultural heritage. In keeping with the current Sharjah Heritage Days, the programme also includes signings of the most recent publications published by the Sharjah Heritage Institute.
