Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said that based on the State’s belief that the efficiency of government performance is inseparable from investment in people, the human development file receives great attention within the strategy of the Egyptian state, in accordance with direct instructions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came in an address to the ceremony of the fourth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, organized by the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation under the patronage of president Sisi Monday.
Madbouli added that this approach is consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development, which aims to improve citizens’ quality of life, maximize the utilization of available resources and enhance integration and coordination among the various state institutions.
He said “I am pleased to extend my warmest welcome and sincere greetings to our brothers from the United Arab Emirates for joining us today at the fourth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Awards ceremony,” wishing them a pleasant stay in their second home, Egypt.
He explained that today’s gathering embodies the depth of the brotherly bonds and the longstanding developmental partnership between Egypt and the UAE and their peoples, and reflects a deeply rooted history of integrated cooperation based on continuous and close coordination at various levels.
He noted that celebrating the fourth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Awards is one of the outcomes of the extended cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in the fields of institutional performance development, government services, innovation, and excellence, in line with the integrated strategy for developing government services adopted by the Egyptian state.
He pointed out that the Government Excellence Award represents a genuine incentive for developing the state’s administrative apparatus, a source of inspiration for its employees, and a motivation to continue working diligently and to confront challenges with a positive spirit and a sense of national responsibility.
The premier praised the notable increase in the number of participants across the various categories of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, at both the institutional and individual levels, as well as the accompanying expansion in the scope of the award categories to include the healthcare sector, which is one of the most vital sectors for achieving sustainable development goals and improving the quality of life of Egyptian citizens.
In conclusion, Madbouli said excellence is not merely an award to be granted, but rather a culture and a sustainable work approach embodied in institutional behavior and daily practice across all state institutions.
He reaffirmed that there can be no economic reform without administrative reform, as both are fundamental pillars for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
