Akshaye Khanna Returns In Flashbacks
Reports confirm that Akshaye Khanna will appear in Dhurandhar Part 2, but only in flashback scenes. His character Rehman Dakait was killed by Hamza in the first part, so his return will explore the villain’s backstory. More details about his appearance are still under wraps.
How Rehman Dakait Died In Part 1
In the first film, Hamza Ali Mazari infiltrated Pakistan as an undercover Indian agent and gained Rehman Dakait’s trust. He cleverly turned the gangster’s allies against him. When the time came, Hamza brutally killed Rehman and framed it as an assassination attempt. Dakait was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
New Villain Bade Sahab Takes Centre Stage
With Rehman Dakait gone, Ranveer Singh’s Hamza will now face a new threat. The sequel introduces Bade Sahab as the main antagonist. The identity of this character remains undisclosed, adding to the mystery surrounding the film.
Post Production In Full Swing
The next installment of Aditya Dhar’s spy franchise is currently in post production. The director has started working on the trailer cut. With a March 19, 2026 release date locked, the team is racing against time to deliver another blockbuster.
