Bridget Carleton couldn’t miss on Wednesday.
The Canadian set a EuroLeague women’s record for three-pointers in a game when she drained nine from distance in ZVVZ USK Praha’s 98-55 win over Flammes Carolo Basket.
Carleton, a 28-year-old native of Chatham, Ont., was 9-of-12 from beyond the three-point line and finished with a game-high 29 points and added six rebounds for the Prague-based team.
The previous record for three-pointers in a game was eight, held by eight players, including Carleton two years ago. Longtime American star Diana Taurasi also hit eight three-pointers twice in EuroLeague play.
Carleton has played for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx since 2019. She also played for Canada at the last two Olympics.
