All FPL managers are entered into competition alongside existing season, with another chance to win fantastic prizes
Now that we have entered the second half of the season, 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League managers are being given a second chance at success with a global league.
The “Second Chance” league will begin scoring in Gameweek 21 after the deadline at 18:30 GMT on Tuesday 6 January, with all FPL managers automatically added to the new league and starting with zero points.
It provides a fresh start for managers who have struggled in the first half of the season, and it also offers a chance for NEW managers who may have missed the first half of the campaign to join the game too.
You can challenge friends, family and colleagues by creating your own invitational leagues alongside the Second Chance league.
Remember, new managers need to enter their squad before 18:30 GMT TODAY.
This is all to help ensure that FPL continues to offer opportunities for both existing and new managers – whether you are already streaks ahead, far behind, or not yet off the starting line.New managers creating a squad will have unlimited transfers, while the second Wildcard – which became available in Gameweek 20 – gives existing managers who may have fallen behind the opportunity to select a fresh 15-man squad.
This may be particularly useful for managers who haven’t made a change to their team for a while but want to get back into the game to challenge for prizes or start a new mini-league with family and friends.
Managers should also check the “Cups” section of the website and app to see when their league cups are starting and go for glory regardless of success in the mini-leagues so far.

New mini-leagues
As well as the Second Chance league, don’t forget you can also create your own new mini-league that starts from Gameweek 21, so those duels with family, friends and colleagues can either begin afresh or new rivalries can be built.
It’s easy for FPL admins to create their own mini-leagues that start from 6 January.

Please note there is no cup competition for the Second Chance league.
