CAIRO, Egypt (MNTV) — Egypt’s National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) significantly expanded its digital skills and workforce development programs in 2025, training more than 49,000 beneficiaries nationwide, the institute said in a year-end assessment.
Operating under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, NTI said it continued to strengthen its position as a national and regional hub for technical training, research and applied innovation, with a focus on aligning skills development to labor market needs.
The institute delivered a broad range of training, educational, and awareness programs across its Cairo campuses and a network of more than 24 Digital Creativity Centers (Creativa) spread across Egypt, including facilities in the New Administrative Capital, ensuring wider access to digital education.
Flagship initiatives such as the Digital Youth of Egypt – Ready for Employment program trained 1,742 participants, achieving an employment rate of more than 87 percent in cooperation with over 85 local and international companies. Additional programs, including Career Launch and Job-Tech, provided hands-on technical training and internships, reporting full employment for graduates.
NTI also expanded freelance-oriented training through its Digital Youth Creativity Centers – Free Work Initiative, which trained 6,551 interns, with more than 73 percent securing freelance work or completing applied industry projects.
Cybersecurity and emerging technologies remained a priority, with over 5,000 trainees completing programs through the Cyber Security Academy across 15 governorates.
The institute’s Summer Internship Programme graduated more than 10,000 students, while the Capacity Up Initiative trained 2,476 participants in skills tailored to evolving market demands.
International partnerships with major technology firms, including AWS, Cisco, IBM, Huawei, Red Hat, VMware, Fortinet and Avaya, helped enhance global accreditation standards and improve graduate employability.
In support of government digital transformation, NTI trained nearly 10,000 public-sector employees, including more than 9,300 officials under the Digital Leadership Programme, and reached over 7,200 AI Ambassadors promoting responsible artificial intelligence use.
Academically, the institute accredited six diploma specializations in fields such as networks, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and data science, while enrolling hundreds of interns in advanced diploma and master’s programs under the Digital Pioneers Initiative.
NTI said its advanced technical infrastructure enabled applied research, student innovation and industry collaboration, including the production of thousands of printed electronic circuit panels and technical validations for national telecommunications standards.
