A digital sign that went up Thursday in Cincinnati appears to call on the team to make some changes. The billboard reads: “Fire Zac. Fire Duke. Save Burrow.”The billboard is on Spring Grove Avenue, near Bank Street, and is visible from southbound Interstate-75.The sign refers to Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin, who are facing pressure with the Bengals set to miss the playoffs for the third straight season.Earlier this week, a report by The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. said that Taylor signed a five-year extension through the 2027 campaign, following the Bengals’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game of the 2022 season. It was previously believed that Taylor’s contract with the Bengals ran through the 2026 season. That reported extension was never made public, and on Wednesday, Taylor declined to comment on his contract status going into the final three games of the 2025 season. “I don’t think it really matters,” Taylor said. “I coach every day like it’s my last and I’ve been through years in 2019 (and) 2020 that literally you coach every game thinking it could be your last game.”The Bengals’ loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship in January 2023 was the last time that quarterback Joe Burrow and Taylor made the playoffs, missing in each of the last three seasons and leaving a fanbase restless for a return to success. The Bengals have four winning seasons in Taylor’s seven seasons in charge, with back-to-back AFC North division championships in 2021 and 2022.
