Fung-wong is expected to reach Super Typhoon status as it approaches the Philippines over the weekend, according to the Hong Kong Observatory’s Friday advisory. The forecast predicts that Fung-wong’s swirling winds will peak at 195 kph, which translates to 122 mph.
