A few quick reminders — explanations if you will — about my 2026 dynasty fantasy football rankings before you dive into them.
First, a request. Please don’t get too hung up on the “Overall” list — while drafting, your team’s construction will regularly break ties or force you to pivot. Also, I lean a bit heavier toward quarterbacks — even in 1QB leagues. I believe there is value in having the position “locked down” in dynasty rather than clogging up your roster with several quarterback options.
Obviously, these rankings have landed before free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft. There will be a ton of movement after both, especially the draft — as an example, Jeremiyah Love could immediately be a Top 5 RB with the right team.
I’m a bit more aggressive in downgrading aging veterans — especially running backs. You’ll see that I don’t even rank DeAndre Hopkins. Don’t waste your flyer depth on players like that. Yes, a 30-year-old can still have several quality seasons left, but part of the issue is your trade window. As soon as the downturn starts, the trade value plummets exponentially.
Speaking of trade values, now is the time to sell running backs — outside of the true bell-cow elites. It takes one free agent signing or a Day 1-2 drafted running back to obliterate the value of the incumbent.
Note: ECR stands for Expert Consensus Ranking. Just a heads-up: Not every ranker regularly updates during the offseason, which can skew the ranks.
